• De resultatendrukte ligt grotendeels achter ons, zeker wat de grote Amerikaanse en Europese bedrijven betreft. Het verdict van de jury is duidelijk: de cijfers waren overal goed, met dank aan kostenbesparingen een weerbare economie herstel diep in 2020. In de Benelux verwachten we ons deze week wel nog aan een reeks publicaties van kleinere en middelgrote bedrijven, zoals PostNL, Bekaert, Elia, argenx, Boskalis en Roularta. Onder de Europese namen vinden we HelloFresh, Peugeot, Vivendi, Henkel, Knorr Bremse, terwijl het in de VS uitkijken is naar onder meer Broadcom, Costco Wholesale en HP.
• De macro-economische kalender biedt voor elk wat wils. Vandaag staan de voorlopende indicatoren uit de verwerkende nijverheid in de VS, China en Europa op de rol, terwijl we ook een indicatie krijgen over de evolutie van de inflatie in Duitsland. Woensdag worden de voorlopende indicatoren uit de dienstensectoren gepubliceerd, zodat het economische plaatje compleet is. Op donderdag geeft Fed-bons Powell toelichting bij de Amerikaanse economie en staat ook de OPEC+ vergadering gepland, die gezien de recente prijsevolutie op de oliemarkt veel aandacht zal krijgen. We sluiten de week af met het Amerikaanse arbeidsmarktrapport.
